Scientist I, Protein Analytical Development

Responsibilities

• Establish and optimize analytical methods for biologics, including HPLC (SEC, IEX/AEX), GFP assays, and protein quantification
• Design and implement automated workflows using liquid handling and robotic platforms such as Tecan and Big Tuna
• Acquire and interpret complex data sets for lysate activity and protein characterization to provide actionable insights
• Perform precise sample preparation and plate-based assays with a focus on high accuracy and low %CV
• Partner with cross-functional SMEs to design experiments, troubleshoot instrumentation, and advance novel analytical techniques
• Maintain rigorous documentation in Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs) like Benchling and contribute to technical reports

Requirements

• PhD with 1-2 years of experience, MS with 5 years of industry experience, or BS with 8 years of relevant industry experience
• Extensive hands-on experience with AEX/SEC-HPLC and GFP assays
• Proficiency with automated platforms such as Big Tuna
• Demonstrated ability to perform reliable data analysis and interpret results within regulatory guidelines
• Strong critical thinking skills and a proven track record of troubleshooting complex instrumentation
