About the role
Responsibilities
- Support Process Development projects by serving as a collaborator for formulation and process design activities.
- Perform extensive laboratory work, including in-process and finished product testing using HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and Karl Fischer titration.
- Assist senior scientists in executing experiments to achieve critical project milestones.
- Support formulation design, sterile filtration, lyophilization, and post-processing for small molecules and biologics.
- Assist in technology transfer activities and scale-up or manufacturing transitions.
- Draft and review technical documents, including batch records, protocols, reports, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the cleanliness of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Control, Manufacturing Technical Services, and Operations to ensure project alignment.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- 0-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical development or within a CDMO environment.
- Proficient laboratory and wet chemistry skills.
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP) and Regulatory Guidelines.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), SmartSheets, LabX, and Empower.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for providing technical updates to clients and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with clinical-phase development and analytical characterization of drug products.
- Familiarity with antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and other complex biological modalities.
