Scientist I, Functional Bioassay & High-Throughput Screening

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and implement HTS-compatible biochemical and cell-based assays with automation integration
• Execute plate-based HTS campaigns and analyze complex experimental datasets
• Communicate findings to support AI/ML-enabled design cycles and program prioritization
• Support therapeutic programs including ion channel, GPCR, and ADC-related assays
• Troubleshoot assay performance, instrumentation, and workflow issues
• Maintain accurate records in electronic laboratory notebooks

Requirements

• PhD in cell biology, pharmacology, immunology, biochemistry, or related field with hands-on lab experience
• Or MSc with ~4+ years of relevant research experience
• Or BSc with ~6+ years of relevant research experience
• Hands-on experience with cell-based, biochemical, or functional assays
• Strong technical foundation in mammalian cell culture and plate-based workflows
• Experience with ELISA, HTRF, AlphaLISA, luminescence/fluorescence, or flow cytometry
• Familiarity with high-throughput or medium-throughput screening workflows
• Proficiency in data analysis tools like GraphPad Prism, Spotfire, or similar

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ion channel or GPCR assays (calcium flux, cAMP, beta-arrestin)
• Experience with ADC, image-based internalization, or targeted protein degradation
• Experience with lab automation systems like Hamilton, Beckman Biomek, or HighRes
• Experience working with primary cells or stable cell line generation
