About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up and analyze microbiology and inorganic samples including potable and non-potable water and soil
- Receive, log, and process client samples
- Prepare reagents, media, and Certificates of Analysis
- Maintain laboratory inventory, cleanliness, and filing systems
- Perform monthly environmental monitoring and proficiency testing
- Document all laboratory functions in logbooks and computer systems
- Assist with sample shipping and courier driving as required
Requirements
- BS or BA in chemistry or related field (or 3 years laboratory experience)
- Minimum of two weeks academic training in microbiological analysis of drinking water or 80 hours on-the-job training
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of bench top laboratory experience
- Previous experience in a production-oriented environment
