Scientist I, Analytical Development

Responsibilities

• Execute routine and non-routine analytical testing using modern techniques such as HPLC/UPLC, SEC, CE, UV-Vis, ELISA, and electrophoresis.
• Contribute to analytical method development, optimization, and qualification/validation readiness activities.
• Troubleshoot assay and instrument performance issues using structured root-cause analysis.
• Author and maintain technical documentation, including method protocols, SOPs, and development summaries.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define analytical plans and meet project timelines.
• Manage laboratory operations, including instrument maintenance, reagent inventory, and consumable procurement.
• Ensure compliance with safety (EHS) policies and maintain high standards of data integrity and documentation.

Requirements

• PhD with 1-2 years of relevant industry experience, MS with 5+ years, or BS with 8+ years of experience in analytical development, QC, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with analytical techniques: UV-Vis, HPLC, CE, SDS-PAGE, icIEF, Mass Spectrometry, ELISA, and Western Blot.
• Solid understanding of analytical chemistry and biochemistry principles.
• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot non-routine assay and instrument issues.
• Proficiency in analytical software, data processing workflows, and statistical tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for summarizing complex data and collaborating across functions.
