Relation is a sector-defining TechBio company developing transformational medicines. We leverage single-cell multi-omics, functional assays, and machine learning to drive disease understanding and discover therapies for devastating diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute cellular and biochemical assays to support drug discovery, including compound screening and profiling
  • Maintain primary and immortalised mammalian cell lines, including sample tracking and quality control
  • Monitor laboratory operations, reagent stock levels, and equipment maintenance
  • Carry out data analysis and relevant quality assurance protocols
  • Communicate work outcomes to team members and external parties through reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues across Biology, Machine Learning, and Toxicology
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies, workflows, and operational infrastructure

Requirements

  • PhD in Biological Science or recently graduated PhD candidate
  • Experience within a drug discovery function (biotech, pharma, or CRO)
  • Strong practical experience in cell culture techniques and cell line generation
  • Ability to develop cellular, molecular biology, and immunological assays (e.g., flow cytometry, RT-qPCR, ELISA)
  • Hands-on experience with high-content imaging instrumentation and software
  • Experience with automated laboratory systems such as liquid handling
  • Competence in data handling, curve fitting, and statistical analysis
  • Experience with industry-standard record keeping

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with 'omics experiments and datasets
  • Experience generating knock-out/knock-in cell lines using siRNA and CRISPR
  • Knowledge of indications like osteoporosis
  • Experience with modalities including peptides, ADCs, oligonucleotides, or targeted delivery
