Scientist CD&D Color

Responsibilities

• Develop color formulations suitable for food and beverage applications, with a focus on natural colors.
• Collaborate with other color scientists and product developers to drive innovation.
• Partner with Operations and Quality Control teams to successfully scale up newly created solutions from bench-top to production-scale.
• Execute stability protocols on the color toolbox and finished products to validate stable solutions.
• Manage a broad portfolio including liquids, dispersions, powders, extracts, and juice concentrates.

Requirements

• BS/MS in a Science field with 5+ years of color science experience.
• PhD in a Science field with 3+ years of color science experience outside of academia.
• Working knowledge of Color Science in Food and Beverage applications, specifically regarding Colors Exempt from Certification (Natural Colors).
• Proven experience with formulation troubleshooting and stability protocols.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to develop relationships with internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pet food applications.
• Knowledge of raw materials and ingredients used in the creation of natural colors.
