About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical method development and material characterization studies to inform drug substance and drug product development
  • Perform 2D-LC for impurity profiling and structural elucidation using high resolution Orbitrap Tribrid Mass Spectrometry
  • Utilize QbD HPLC method development with multivariate DOE software
  • Execute forced degradation studies and elucidate degradation mechanisms
  • Manage reference standards, impurity markers, and technical documentation
  • Provide operational oversight and troubleshooting for external CDMO/CTL partners
  • Collaborate with Medicinal Chemistry, Bioanalytical, DMPK, and Preclinical departments
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP quality standards and internal SOPs

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, or a related field (BS with 10+ years, MS with 6+ years, or PhD with up to 4 years of experience)
  • Expertise in the operation and maintenance of mass spectrometers
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC operation and method development
  • Ability to critically interpret data and communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Orbitrap Tribrid mass spectrometers
  • Hands-on experience with 2D-LC
  • Experience determining structures of small molecule impurities or metabolites
  • Experience with protein or ADC characterization via mass spectrometry
  • Familiarity with GC, NMR, particle size analysis, solid state characterization, dissolution, ICP-MS/OES, or FTIR
  • Experience with reference standard management, stability programs, or method validation
  • Familiarity with ICH guidelines, cGMPs, and pharmacopeial chapters
