Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and optimize protein purification processes including affinity, ion exchange, HIC, and multimodal chromatography using ÄKTA systems
• Implement filtration processes such as ultrafiltration and diafiltration for therapeutic proteins and critical reagents
• Design and implement purification strategies for challenging antibodies, immunogens, and membrane proteins
• Perform protein characterization using quality-focused analytical methods including HPLC/UPLC (CEX, SEC), UV/Vis spectroscopy, and CE-SDS
• Document experimental work in electronic laboratory journals (ELN) and prepare technical reports
• Evaluate, interpret, and graphically represent measurement data for presentation in cross-functional internal meetings
• Manage general laboratory organization and equipment responsibilities

Requirements

• Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a comparable scientific-technical assistant qualification
• Practical experience in protein purification, process parameter determination, and scale-up strategies
• Proficiency with ÄKTA systems and Unicorn software
• Hands-on analytical experience with HPLC/UPLC (using Chromeleon software), UV/Vis spectroscopy, and CE-SDS
• Fluency in both English and German
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently and flexibly in a research environment
