About the role
Responsibilities
- Run cellular assays using cell lines and human primary cells to assess antibody efficacy, potency, and mechanism of action (MOA)
- Perform critical laboratory experiments and data analysis to support strategic decision-making within project teams
- Engage with scientific literature to understand target biology and identify new assay methods
- Develop expertise in imaging-based assays and refine internal laboratory capabilities
- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, including maintaining a safe environment and ordering consumables
- Mentor junior scientists in novel cell biology techniques and methodologies
- Gather, analyze, and present data to the wider team and organization
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory experimental records
Requirements
- PhD in Immunology or a related field, or equivalent level of laboratory experience
- Proven expertise in human primary cell culture and in vitro/ex vivo assays
- Proficiency in cell biology techniques including flow cytometry, ELISA (plate or bead-based), and fluorescence microscopy
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in human primary cell antibody screening assay development (high and medium throughput)
- Experience with complex in vitro models such as organ-on-a-chip or organoids
- Experience working with myeloid cells and performing differentiation assays
- Proficiency in fluorescent imaging analysis and quantification software (e.g., Molecular Devices InCarta)
- Experience with omics-based approaches such as RNA-seq
