Scientific Principal, Aerospace

Responsibilities

• Research and develop ground-breaking technologies for the aerospace industry
• Identify opportunities for new technology, products, or performance improvements
• Lead multiple R&D projects critical to the business unit
• Act as a scientific ambassador both inside and outside of Henkel
• Identify and engage valuable external partners
• Support project teams in solving complex technical problems
• Secure IP positions in your specific area of development
• Contribute to scientific publications and forums through papers and presentations
• Act as a technical consultant for management and steering committees

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• 7+ years of experience in scientific research or product development
• 5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry (preferred)
• Strong technical and innovation expertise with a proven track record of delivering solutions
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated strength in teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
