Scientific Advisor, Antibodies

Cradle offers a software platform for AI-guided discovery and optimization of proteins, enabling biologists to design proteins faster and at scale. The company serves clients across biopharma, biotech, agri-tech, food-tech, and academia.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on identifying protein optimization projects best suited for the Cradle platform
• Translate scientific goals of biotherapeutic projects into platform objectives
• Understand customer assays, workflows, and research modalities
• Ensure customer data quality and formatting is suitable for machine learning
• Train customers on using the Cradle platform
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure optimal protein design outputs
• Present reports to help customers interpret platform outputs and forecasts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with scientific and business stakeholders
• Gather customer feedback to guide product development

Requirements

• PhD in molecular biology, bioengineering, bioinformatics, or a related field
• 5+ years of biopharma experience in a scientific role focusing on protein engineering and antibodies
• Experience with biophysical and/or functional assays
• Deep knowledge of biopharmaceutical R&D processes, methods, and tooling
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Proven ability to build relationships with scientists and business leaders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with machine learning
• Experience with non-antibody protein modalities, such as enzymes
• Experience in relationship management or sales within biotech or software industries
• Proficiency in Python and data science libraries (pandas, scikit, scipy, matplotlib)
• Familiarity with SQL
