Science Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based science lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment tailored to diverse learning styles
• Differentiate teaching strategies to support EAL, gifted, and students requiring additional assistance
• Integrate technology and innovative approaches to enhance student engagement
• Assess and communicate student progress effectively using data to inform personalized support
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine IB-aligned curriculum, resources, and assessments
• Contribute to the wider school community through co-curricular activities and events
• Build positive relationships with parents to support student wellbeing and growth

Requirements

• Certified professional teaching qualification at degree level (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience teaching Secondary Science
• Specialism in a Science subject area

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching within an IB curriculum school
• Specific experience teaching Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP)
