About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with school and district staff to identify at-risk students and address absenteeism through restorative practices.
- Support family engagement by connecting immigrant, migrant, and underserved families to essential community resources.
- Establish partnerships to improve student access to comprehensive health services, mental health support, and developmental screenings.
- Implement assets-based and empowering approaches, including home visits and regular follow-ups with families.
- Coordinate systems of services that promote student, family, and community healing and restoration.
- Facilitate communication between educators, community agencies, and families, particularly those with limited English proficiency.
- Support data collection processes, including needs assessments and grant activity reporting.
- Participate in school/district committees and serve as a liaison for the LUCSC Advisory.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2-3 years of program management and/or case management experience.
- Strong collaboration skills and a desire to work in a relationship-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience coordinating multifaceted programming within underserved communities or public education systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in education, social work, psychology, nursing, sociology, or human services.
- Spanish-language written and oral proficiency.
