School Nurse

Responsibilities

• Responsible for medical interventions according to current governing documents
• Work proactively and preventatively for students' health
• Collaborate actively with teachers, school management, school counselors, and special educators
• Conduct health interviews, simple medical assessments, and vaccinations
• Provide advice regarding physical and mental health
• Maintain clear and accessible contact with guardians and other partners regarding student health issues
• Contribute knowledge and ideas to the school's development work and systematic quality work

Requirements

• Licensed nurse with specialist training as a school nurse, pediatric nurse, or district nurse
• Ability to create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Ability to work independently within a team environment
• Experience with digital medical record keeping is a merit
• Must provide an extract from the police criminal record
