School Nurse

Responsibilities

• Responsible for medical interventions according to governing documents
• Work proactively and preventatively for students' health
• Collaborate with teachers, school management, school counselors, and special educators
• Conduct health interviews, simple medical assessments, and vaccinations
• Provide advice regarding physical and mental health
• Maintain contact with guardians and partners regarding student health issues
• Contribute to the school's development and systematic quality work

Requirements

• Licensed nurse with specialist training as a school nurse, pediatric nurse, or district nurse
• Ability to create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Ability to work independently within a team
• Requirement to provide a criminal record extract from the police

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a school nurse
• Familiarity with digital medical record systems, specifically Prorenata
