School Counselor

Responsibilities

• Provide social, emotional, and behavioral guidance to students in grades 6-12
• Develop counseling resources and interventions in coordination with the Dean of Students, School Nurse, and Learning Specialist teams
• Help students work through personal, social, and academic concerns affecting their well-being
• Create resources for school educators and staff to support student well-being
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to FERPA requirements

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience working with middle and high school students
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and manage varied deadlines
• Proficiency with Google Docs, Excel, and database reporting software
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and educators
• Knowledge of FERPA requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Guidance, Psychology, or Social Work
