Requirements
High School diploma or GED, Background check and fingerprinting, Physical ability to assist in evacuations
About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor students on the bus to ensure proper behavior and adherence to safety rules
- Ensure students remain seated and aisles remain clear
- Implement emergency procedures and assist in evacuations if necessary
- Submit incident reports for follow-up by school divisions
- Maintain bus cleanliness by picking up trash
- Verify all students have exited the bus at the final stop
- Complete required annual school trainings including CPR/First Aid
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting
- Physical ability to perform emergency evacuation procedures, including pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit for long periods and work in environments with loud noise and vibrations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working closely with students
- Experience correcting student behavior
