About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with ESS clinicians to support students' mental health and overall well-being
- Monitor and track student progress, providing timely updates to the interdisciplinary team
- Assist in the development, implementation and reinforcement of individualized care plans
- Co-facilitate group interventions and student support sessions under clinician guidance
- Support therapeutic milieu management including scheduling, managing passes, and skill building
- Provide in-classroom support through observation and targeted interventions
- Collect and track student data and assist in developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Respond to crisis situations effectively, coordinating with clinicians, school staff, and parents
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with families and external providers to strengthen student support systems
- Assist with case management tasks and community resource connections
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a school or clinical setting
- Experience working with students, families, and community-based agencies
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of basic therapeutic interventions and counseling techniques
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse student populations
