Scholar Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with scholars to help them navigate behavioral expectations, social-emotional challenges, and peer conflict
• Provide individualized and small-group behavioral and social-emotional interventions
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to reinforce consistent behavior expectations and intervention strategies
• Implement proactive behavior supports, restorative practices, and social-emotional learning strategies
• Monitor scholar progress and maintain accurate documentation related to behavior supports and interventions
• Partner with families to build trust and collaborate on support strategies
• Facilitate Scholar Support Team meetings and contribute to action planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to maintain high expectations in a nurturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with elementary-aged students in schools, youth programs, counseling, or mentoring
