About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and supervise the project scheduling group, including engineers and consultants, for large-scale construction projects.
- Develop full Critical Path Method (CPM) logic-generated baseline schedules and monitor performance against original forecasts.
- Coordinate across functions including procurement, manufacturing, and deployment to ensure alignment with delivery schedules.
- Perform monthly progress updates, prepare detailed narratives, and create periodic look-ahead schedules.
- Conduct project schedule reviews with leadership and provide dashboard statistics for internal and client-facing meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to identify project issues, monitor action items, and ensure timely resolution.
- Implement advanced scheduling techniques such as Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and resource loading to mitigate risks.
- Support pre-sales and business development activities by providing scheduling contract language and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience, including experience in data center design or complex technical infrastructure.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience leading engineering teams or technical project groups.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects exceeding $100 million.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera P6.
- Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) and scheduling diagnostic tools like Acumen Fuse.
- Ability to travel approximately 30% and work variable hours as required by project needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional scheduling certification (e.g., AACE, PSP, or PMI-SP).
- Experience with earned value management and continuous improvement methods like lean construction.
- Advanced experience in conducting gap analysis and managing complex scheduling risks.
