About the role
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments based on provider availability and area
- Prioritize urgent appointment tasks and reschedule as needed
- Review and update patient insurance information and handle preauthorizations
- Manage high-volume workloads and maintain provider daily appointment quotas
- Update account information and patient charts for accuracy
- Handle voicemails and distribute messages appropriately
- Communicate with referring sources and patients via phone
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Administrative healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to navigate multiple software databases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage high volumes of phone calls
- High attention to detail
