About the role
Responsibilities
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction managers to provide detailed planning and scheduling from conceptual stages through construction.
- Develop resource-loaded schedules, including activity lists, major milestones, and critical procurement items.
- Establish schedule logic, constraints, realistic activity durations, and manpower requirements.
- Assess the impact of design changes or schedule slippages and communicate updates to management and clients.
- Apply engineering and construction terminology to maintain critical path logic networks and utilize historical data for forecasting.
- Provide specialized assistance for resolving project control problems and deliver schedule health reports during client meetings.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, project controls software such as Primavera P6 or inEight Suite.
- Ability to travel and/or relocate as needed.
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in various climates and environments.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team to meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Oil, Gas & Chemical industry.
- Previous exposure to offshore fabrication or large-scale construction projects.
