Scheduler - Heavy Civil Construction

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage resource-loaded schedules, including activity lists, milestones, and critical project deliverables
• Manage quantity take-offs and incorporate changes from original estimates into cost and schedule reporting
• Provide scheduling analysis for delays and impacts to identify and mitigate project risks
• Develop schedule logic, constraints, and realistic activity durations based on manpower and resources
• Implement internal process controls to measure project performance and ensure data integrity
• Assist in the preparation of periodic progress reports, graphs, and executive management summaries
• Apply engineering and construction terminology to maintain critical path logic networks

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field
• At least 2 years of experience in project controls for construction projects (planning, estimating, or scheduling)
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and scheduling fundamentals
• Understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with computers and the ability to manage and manipulate large data sets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel occasionally to project sites and work overtime or weekends as required
