Scheduler

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule fuel loads in accordance with industry regulations
• Manage stock levels for vendor managed sites (VMI) and internal depot locations
• Optimise fleet schedules to maximise product delivery to customer tanks
• Provide high-level customer service by providing regular updates on fuel deliveries
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Solve real-time problems regarding unplanned schedule changes or truck availability
• Participate in a shared after-hours phone roster to ensure operational success

Requirements

• Highly organised and proactive with the ability to build efficient daily delivery schedules
• Strong communication skills to interact with a wide range of stakeholders and drivers
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with high accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in bulk fuel scheduling or general goods and services logistics
• Knowledge of Road Transport Logistics, including Dangerous Goods, Chain of Responsibility, and Fatigue Laws
• Experience using ERP systems
• Understanding of HSSE requirements and fatigue management
• Background in general logistics management
