SCADA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for SCADA nodes and control rooms
• Troubleshoot software, communication, alarm, and system performance issues
• Handle system patching, backups, redundancy checks, and failover testing
• Monitor historian data, alarms, system integrations, and overall SCADA health
• Maintain logs, RCA reports, maintenance documentation, and change records
• Work closely with OEMs, consultants, and internal teams for improvements and escalations
• Support activities related to cybersecurity, asset lifecycle, and system upgrades

Requirements

• 5–6 years of hands-on SCADA maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of AVEVA System Platform, including InTouch/OMI, Historian, and Galaxy Repository
• Familiarity with PLCs such as Schneider, Siemens, or Rockwell
• Understanding of OPC UA/DA, industrial networking, redundancy, and remote architectures
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering
• Solid troubleshooting, reporting, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• AVEVA System Platform certification
• Networking or cybersecurity certifications
• Valid Qatar driving license
