SBDC Business Consultant

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality business consulting services to clients across a full spectrum of business functions
• Perform analyses, make strategic recommendations, and educate clients on small business strategies
• Work collaboratively with internal university departments, community economic development agencies, and the PASBDC
• Facilitate meetings and develop/deliver training programs to both small and large audiences
• Lead group discussions and planning sessions to disseminate business information
• Travel regularly throughout the eight-county service area, including regional day travel and occasional overnight/weekend events
• Meet all deliverables required to maintain funding, grant, and contractual compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or a related computer field
• Three years of experience in entrepreneurship, small business, accounting, finance, or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of entrepreneurship, marketing, human resource management, and financial analysis
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel regularly within the designated eight-county service area
• Proficiency with computer applications and organizational management

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field
• Direct experience in small business ownership
