SBDC Business Consultant

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality business consulting services to clients across a full spectrum of business functions.
• Perform business analyses, make strategic recommendations, and educate clients on small business strategies.
• Work collaboratively with internal University departments, community economic development agencies, and the PASBDC.
• Facilitate meetings and develop/deliver training programs to both small and large audiences.
• Travel regularly throughout the eight-county service area, including regional day travel and occasional overnight or weekend events.
• Meet all deliverables required to maintain funding, grant, and contractual compliance.
• Follow all online and reporting requirements established by the Center.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or a related computer field.
• Three years of experience in entrepreneurship, small business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of entrepreneurship, marketing, human resource management, and financial analysis.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak before large groups.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel regularly within the designated eight-county service area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Direct experience in small business ownership.
