About the role
Responsibilities
- Chop, slice, and prepare ingredients for sautéed dishes including vegetables, meats, and sauces
- Skillfully sauté dishes according to recipes and chef instructions to ensure consistency
- Maintain 100% responsibility for the quality of products served
- Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen policies
- Stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations for smooth service
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including grills, fryers, and refrigeration equipment
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup
- Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
- Assist with food prep during off-peak periods and follow kitchen closing checklists
- Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies
Requirements
- Experience in kitchen preparation and/or cooking
- Passion for food and providing an excellent dining experience
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Ability to communicate clearly with managers and team members
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20+ pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 9 hours)
