Satellite Terminal Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Verify customer identity and confirm warranty/entitlement before progressing support requests
• Perform initial checks for common causes of service impact such as power, communications path, and environmental factors
• Create, update, and manage support tickets ensuring accurate data capture
• Triage, categorize, and prioritize customer issues in line with support processes
• Use Known Error Database and internal knowledge articles to resolve recurring issues
• Handle RFIs and service requests, routing to correct internal teams
• Provide clear and timely customer updates during incidents and escalate when required
• Support internal KPI and service reporting by maintaining accurate ticket data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or studying towards) in Telecommunications, Satellite Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT/Networks, or related STEM discipline
• 0–2 years’ experience in technical support, field support, or satcom operational environment
• Basic understanding of IP networking concepts including addressing, routing, DNS, and latency
• Experience using an ITSM/ticketing tool
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to hold and pass US secret security vetting
• Flexibility to work shifts and travel to support customer requirements
