Satellite Systems Operations Engineer

Lynk is the inventor of satellite direct to device or D2D technology, and has the world’s only commercial license from the FCC to operate a commercial D2D system. Lynk’s technology enables mobile network operators' subscribers to send and receive text messages to and from space via standard unmodified, mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily reviews of satellite telemetry data and alarms to monitor constellation health
• Drive end-to-end anomaly investigations from detection to root cause and corrective action
• Engage in technical trades to optimize power consumption, bandwidth, and orbital dynamics
• Develop and evaluate concepts of operations and automations to maximize productivity
• Provide technical oversight during launch and early operations (LEOP) phases
• Define and drive improvements to data analysis tools and operational workflows

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience with ownership of spacecraft operations or system-level investigations
• Proven experience in satellite operations, telemetry analysis, and anomaly resolution
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as STK, Matlab, or Python scripting
• Strong understanding of satellite flight software, attitude control algorithms, and space-to-ground interfaces
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with satellite flight software and onboard autonomy
• Background in orbital dynamics or attitude control
• Familiarity with industry standards for satellite operations and safety
