Satellite Quality and Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and inspections on ground and flight systems, subsystems, and components
• Conduct component level testing including electrical power, mechanical fit checks, and RF testing
• Execute subsystem and flight testing for RF performance, signal loss, and power
• Perform environmental testing including vibration, thermal, and vacuum testing
• Conduct mechanical and electrical QA inspections using schematics and drawings
• Construct wiring harnesses, mechanical support equipment, and fixtures
• Identify and propose electrical or mechanical modifications and rework
• Review and execute detailed test plans and quality specifications
• Maintain test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes
• Maintain certifications on tools and equipment like torque wrenches and precision tools

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical Associate degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in related technical tasks
• Proficiency with standard electronic assembly tools and materials
• Ability to perform soldering to spacecraft flight hardware standards
• Ability to use fabrication equipment such as 3D printers and machine tools
• Ability to use standard electronic and environmental test equipment
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
