Satellite Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform real-time satellite contacts and configure command and control ground equipment during pre-pass, pass, and post-pass periods
• Support mission planning, execution, and evaluation for launch, early orbit, on-orbit, and end-of-life operations
• Conduct scheduling, data trending, analysis, and spacecraft anomaly resolution
• Assist in developing mission-specific documentation, including procedures, handbooks, and test plans
• Implement anomaly response plans and participate in tiger-team discussions and recovery actions
• Evaluate spacecraft, payload, and ground systems status in accordance with mission requirements

Requirements

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility (U.S. citizenship required)
• 3-5 years of experience in satellite operations (military operations experience in C2 or intelligence may be considered)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow complex procedures and contingency plans
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends, on a Panama schedule
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with space/satellite or military operations
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience operating multiple satellite families in different orbits (LEO, HEO, GEO)
