SATCOM IP Network Support Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time on a 24x7x365 basis.
• Create and update tickets using DISA applications to track customer problems regarding Baseband, IF, and RF communications.
• Perform IP network support, including the configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and voice equipment.
• Provide IP satellite modem support, including the configuration and issuance of option, boot, and RSP files.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SATCOM and IP network issues in collaboration with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and deployed operators.
• Remotely provide global equipment configurations at DoD SATCOM Gateways utilizing SAA and GAA.
• Verify that all equipment is operating within the required baseline configuration.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) at start date.
• High school diploma and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment.
• Experience with MILSATCOM encryption devices and SATCOM architecture/signal flow.
• Experience managing IP over SATCOM networks using iDirect, Linkway, EBEM, or equivalent FM-TDMA hubs.
• Experience utilizing SAA/GAAs as source documentation for network configuration.
