SAS Viya Admin

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure SAS Viya 4 environments using Helm charts or manual methods on Kubernetes clusters
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized services to ensure scalability and availability
• Continuously monitor system performance and environment health using Prometheus and Grafana
• Implement and manage security components including LDAP/Active Directory integration, authorization, and encryption
• Design and validate backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimal downtime

Requirements

• Strong experience with SAS Viya 4 platform installation, administration, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in Kubernetes administration, including pod management, namespaces, and Helm charts
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Solid Linux administration skills (RedHat, SLES, or Ubuntu)
• Experience with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS EKS
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and configuration management (Ansible)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack
