SAS Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize SAS Datalake infrastructure, including Isilon and NetApp clusters, HPC, and Kubernetes environments.
• Perform node replacements, hardware upgrades, and decommissioning of end-of-life (EOL) equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to throughput, latency, and capacity using specialized diagnostic tools.
• Implement continuous system monitoring using tools like Grafana, SNMP, and event logs to detect anomalies.
• Apply security patches, firmware updates, and software upgrades across cluster servers and GPU environments.
• Develop automation scripts for routine maintenance, monitoring, and data migration tasks.
• Plan and test disaster recovery procedures to ensure data availability and business continuity.
• Participate in physical data center activities, including racking and cabling of servers and storage equipment.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of hands-on Linux support experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu).
• Proficiency in system monitoring, log analysis, and production support.
• Ability to write scripts using Bash or Python.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and SSH.
• Experience supporting ETL/data pipelines and monitoring batch jobs.
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Greenplum, Impala, or GPU server configurations.
