SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end functional design and architecture for SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.
• Define and validate target business processes including General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Financial Closing.
• Drive implementation activities such as requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Apply deep Utilities industry expertise to support financial modeling for capital-intensive operations and regulatory reporting.
• Lead functional Finance teams and collaborate with business SMEs, system integrators, and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure seamless integration between Finance and other workstreams including Billing, Procurement, and Asset Management.
• Recommend process enhancements using S/4HANA innovations like Universal Journal, Fiori apps, and embedded analytics.

Requirements

• 12–16 years of SAP Finance functional experience with expertise in FI, CO, and Asset Accounting.
• At least 2+ end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Significant exposure to the Utilities industry (electricity, gas, water, or wastewater).
• Strong understanding of utility-specific financial processes, including regulatory accounting and complex billing integration.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional designation.
