SAP Reporting SME

Responsibilities

• Own the target-state reporting architecture spanning BW, Datasphere, BDC, AO, and SAC.
• Lead SAC deliverables, including dashboard and planning model design for Finance reporting and embedded analytics.
• Establish AO workbook standards for variable handling, exception reporting, version control, and distribution governance.
• Define BDC data product strategy to ensure harmonized consumption of SAP and non-SAP Finance data products.
• Govern the reporting object lifecycle across DEV/QA/PRD environments, ensuring change control and regulatory alignment.
• Build and embed SAP best-practice modeling standards within the SAP BCOE reporting capability.
• Represent the Reporting & Analytics stream at Design Authority and BCOE leadership forums.

Requirements

• 12–16 years of SAP experience, with at least 6 years focused on SAP reporting and analytics.
• Proven track record of delivering at least two full-cycle SAP Finance reporting implementations.
• Expert knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA, including InfoProviders, Transformations, DTPs, and extraction from ECC and S/4HANA.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BDC (Business Data Cloud), including Data Product modeling and Datasphere integration patterns.
• Expert experience with SAP AO (Analysis for Office), including workbook design, BEx/BICS connections, and governance.
• Expert knowledge of SAP SAC (Analytics Cloud), including dashboard design, planning models, and multi-actions.
• Experience in Governance & Controls, including reporting authorization design, SoD, and audit trail requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the banking or financial services domain.
