SAP FICO Functional Consultant

Responsibilities

• Support and facilitate the implementation of SAP Financials, including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Product Costing.
• Conduct detailed analysis of business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions.
• Organize and lead workshops to gather and document client business requirements.
• Design, customize, configure, and test FI/CO modules.
• Perform gap analysis, identify issues, and propose effective resolutions.
• Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams.
• Document functional designs, test cases, and test results.
• Provide ad-hoc training and user support as needed.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounting domains including Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, and IFRS.
• Minimum 3 years of ERP implementation experience (SAP solution experience is a significant plus).
• Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or above).
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills for collaborating with clients and global team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience working on collaborative projects with diverse nationalities and cultures.
• Ability to provide clear instructions and monitor progress for offshore resources.
• Confidence in expressing professional opinions to mid-level client stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new package solutions and emerging IT industry trends.
