SAP Basis Consultant

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, and Solution Manager
• Perform system copies, client copies, and SAP system refreshes
• Manage SAP transports and ensure strict adherence to change management processes
• Monitor and tune SAP system performance, database parameters, and memory usage
• Apply SAP Support Packages, kernel upgrades, and OSS notes
• Administer databases supporting SAP systems such as HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server
• Manage SAP user administration, roles, and authorizations
• Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to ensure high system availability
• Participate in SAP upgrade and migration projects, including cloud migrations
• Provide on-call support and resolve incidents within defined SLA timelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3–7 years of experience as an SAP Basis Administrator or Consultant
• Proven expertise in SAP installation, configuration, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments
• Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver and Solution Manager
• Proficiency in database administration (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server)
• Solid understanding of Operating Systems (Linux/Unix, Windows)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Certified Technology Associate – System Administration (SAP HANA / S/4HANA)
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent certification
• Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform or hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
