About the role

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize processing and packaging equipment per established Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
  • Perform cleaning in place (CIP) and cleaning out of place (COP) procedures
  • Disassemble equipment and change parts as required
  • Clean and store utensils in proper locations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sanitation control points
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule
  • Work with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Safety teams regarding new cleaning chemicals

Requirements

  • 2 years of sanitation or cleaning experience, preferably in food manufacturing
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and cleaning chemicals
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 300 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as demanded
