Sanitor

Responsibilities

• Perform 7 steps of sanitation consistently and effectively on plant processing equipment, tools, and containers
• Disassemble and assemble processing equipment for manual cleaning
• Remove product from equipment using water hoses and industrial cleaners/sanitizers
• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) to ensure all duties are completed
• Comply with all safety, quality, and sanitation policies and procedures
• Proactively identify and report potential safety hazards
• Work effectively with other teams on sanitation projects

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts during the night shift
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to work in a cooled sanitary environment (temperatures 45 degrees or below)
• Ability to climb stairs, kneel, stoop, and walk extensively throughout a shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience cleaning or sanitizing equipment in a food manufacturing environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a self-starter
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to interact with other departments
