Sanitation Worker

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize all processing equipment, including pumps, blenders, transfer lines, hoppers, and hoses
• Break down and clean filling equipment such as augers, feed tubes, and vibrator feeders
• Clean entire processing workstations, including tables, conveyor chains, floors, walls, and air filters
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles in production and warehouse areas
• Wash floors using floor scrubbers, vacuums, air hoses, and mops
• Follow the master sanitation schedule and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Maintain compliance with food safety, quality, and safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout
• Perform other cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Experience working in an industrial environment
• Experience handling sanitizing chemicals and non-toxic food products
• Ability to read and comprehend instruction sheets provided with cleaning chemicals
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with supervisors and team members
• Ability to perform essential physical job requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical ability
• Training in forklift and pallet jack operation
