Sanitation Utility

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all assigned areas including restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, locker rooms, and offices
• Maintain the master sanitation schedule and follow checklists for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
• Practice appropriate safety procedures and follow standard operating procedures
• Stock cleaning supplies and paper goods to maintain proper inventory levels
• Monitor pest activity by checking rodent and pheromone traps weekly and reporting infestations
• Monitor and report product protection issues, such as potential contaminants or maintenance needs
• Clean up spills or blood stains in the event of an accident or injury on company property
• Partner with leadership to identify improvements in safety, food safety, quality, and productivity

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours per shift
• Ability to work in hot, humid, or cold manufacturing environments
• Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, stoop, and climb ladders or stairs

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
