Sanitation Team Member

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of production equipment, floors, walls, drains, and work areas
• Follow established sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs) and master sanitation schedules
• Apply cleaning chemicals safely and effectively at correct concentrations and contact times
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment as required
• Adhere to FDA, USDA, OSHA, and company food safety and workplace safety regulations
• Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Report and document sanitation activities, chemical usage, and food safety concerns
• Support audits and inspections by providing accurate cleaning records
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure proper sanitation before and after shifts
• Communicate hazards, equipment issues, or deviations to supervisors promptly
• Participate in ongoing training in sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety practices

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in sanitation, janitorial, or food manufacturing environments preferred
• Ability to read and follow safety instructions, chemical labels, and sanitation procedures
• Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, wet conditions, and heavy cleaning tasks
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to food safety
