About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on technical sanitation, including disassembly, deep cleaning, and reassembly of food production machinery
- Train and coach new hires and existing Sanitation Technicians on cleaning techniques and equipment handling
- Enforce OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), HAZCOMM, and PPE guidelines
- Assist in conducting chemical titrations to verify cleaning solution strength
- Audit assigned areas to ensure pre-operational and mid-shift standards are met
- Execute sanitation tasks within USDA and FDA frameworks following SSOPs
Requirements
- 1–3 years of technical sanitation experience in a food processing facility
- Experience in a USDA/FDA regulated environment preferred
- Demonstrated informal leadership or peer coaching experience
- Strong knowledge of SSOPs, chemical safety, and wet/dry cleaning methodologies
- Proficiency in OSHA safety regulations (LOTO, HAZCOMM)
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is highly valued
- Ability to work dynamic shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
