Sanitation Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on technical sanitation, including disassembly, deep cleaning, and reassembly of food production machinery
• Train and coach new hires and existing Sanitation Technicians on cleaning techniques and equipment handling
• Enforce OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), HAZCOMM, and PPE guidelines
• Assist in conducting chemical titrations to verify cleaning solution strength
• Audit assigned areas to ensure pre-operational and mid-shift standards are met
• Execute sanitation tasks within USDA and FDA frameworks following SSOPs

Requirements

• 1–3 years of technical sanitation experience in a food processing facility
• Experience in a USDA/FDA regulated environment preferred
• Demonstrated informal leadership or peer coaching experience
• Strong knowledge of SSOPs, chemical safety, and wet/dry cleaning methodologies
• Proficiency in OSHA safety regulations (LOTO, HAZCOMM)
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is highly valued
• Ability to work dynamic shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
