Sanitation Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee sanitation across all bakery operations to ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and regulatory standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of up to 12 sanitation associates.
• Partner with Operations, QA, and Maintenance to maintain an audit-ready facility.
• Perform routine plant audits and sanitation inspections of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) and OSHA standards.
• Manage sanitation supplies, including weekly inventory and equipment maintenance.
• Facilitate employee training on sanitation tasks, chemical usage, and safety.
• Coordinate shift activities and sanitation schedules based on production needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of sanitation supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of BRC standards.
• Experience with CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems.
• Prior experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts.
