Sanitation Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the overall housekeeping and sanitation of food contact areas and manufacturing equipment
• Supervise a team of 2-25 employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
• Coordinate the master sanitation schedule in accordance with company and FDA standards
• Monitor CIP (Clean-in-Place) equipment and the usage of cleaning/sanitizing chemicals to ensure safety and compliance
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, HACCP, FSMA, and OSHA standards
• Maintain accurate sanitation reporting and documentation
• Collaborate with department managers to ensure smooth shift transitions and minimize equipment downtime

Requirements

• 2-3 years of sanitation leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Working knowledge of CIP systems and chemical processes
• Proven ability to manage staffing, scheduling, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours and lift up to 75 pounds repetitively
• Ability to work weekend 3rd shift hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the food-related industry
• BS Degree in Food Science, Sanitation with Chemical standards, or an equivalent field
