Sanitation Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead daily sanitation operations and supervise frontline employees to ensure proper staffing and effective cleaning processes.
• Coordinate with client maintenance teams to verify lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure equipment readiness.
• Drive safety and food safety compliance by reinforcing PPE use, GMPs, SSOPs, and HAZCOMM practices.
• Conduct thorough equipment inspections before, during, and after sanitation to ensure readiness for production.
• Partner with USDA/QA inspectors during pre-op inspections and maintain communication with client leadership.
• Manage essential documentation, including sanitation logs, deficiency reports, training records, and time/attendance.
• Enforce company policies and manage staffing levels to meet operational needs across multiple shifts.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of sanitation leadership experience within a food processing environment (USDA/FDA experience required).
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and chemical handling.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to work in food plant settings (hot, cold, wet, or loud conditions).

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
