Sanitation Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise sanitation employees to ensure proper staffing, safe practices, and effective cleaning processes.
• Coordinate with client maintenance teams to verify lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure equipment access.
• Drive compliance with USDA/FDA requirements, GMPs, SSOPs, and HAZCOMM practices.
• Conduct thorough equipment inspections before, during, and after sanitation to ensure production readiness.
• Partner with USDA/QA inspectors during pre-op inspections and maintain communication with client leadership.
• Manage essential documentation, including sanitation logs, deficiency reports, training records, and attendance.
• Enforce company policies and manage staffing levels to meet operational needs.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of sanitation leadership experience within a food processing environment.
• Proven experience working in USDA/FDA regulated environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, LOTO, PPE, and chemical handling.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to work in food plant conditions (hot, cold, wet, and loud).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
